JANET HOUSTON

Accompanist

Janet has been the accompanist for the Northern Kentucky Community  Chorus since 1992.  She has also served as Music Director/Accompanist for Gethsemane, the United Methodist Church of Burlington, KY. This mother of four lives with her husband in Florence, KY. She has toured with NKCC to England, Ireland, Scotland, and Italy; has played at Music Hall and the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati; Carnegie Hall in New York City; as well as Disney World in Orlando, as part of the Northern Kentucky Children's Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Melanie Williams.

Since the birth of her fourth child in 1999, Janet has semi-retired from most of her musical ambitions. Now that the younger children are almost ready for school full time, she plans to explore other areas of interest such as medicine, photography and mission work.
