Guidelines

Purpose:    NKCA (Northern Kentucky Counselors Association) members unanimously voted to create a scholarship to support further education and training for counselors.  The scholarship committee determined that the 1st NKCA Scholarship will be awarded to a counselor or teacher in the Northern Kentucky area who is pursuing initial counseling certification or maintaining their counseling certification in Kentucky.  This scholarship is annual if funding permits. 

Scholarship Amount:
   1- $500.00 Non-renewable, payable to the college or university of the recipients’ choice.

Requirements: 
      Applicants must complete the NKCA Scholarship Application and submit a 500 word essay on how their counseling work has/will make a impact on students. 

Letters of support: 
   2 Letters of support must be submitted from the applicant’s supervisors, colleagues or professors.  Letters may be submitted with applications.
Scholarships will be awarded by June 15th.  The deadline for applications will be May 15th.  Recipients will be notified by June 15th.
